March 31, 2017, 6h pm, in the church of the Convent: were you there? Some forty parishioners from the pastoral sector were there, in any case, to take part in a special celebration: the APPOINTMENT of Father Michel Brune to the office of SUPERIOR of the Oblate local community, according to the ritual set by the Constitutions and Rules of the Congregation. Father Pierre Kykeo, representing the Provincial, surrounded by Father Jean-Pierre Bonnafoux (the retiring), Daniel Cavagne, Joseph Nguyen, Michel Brune (the named) and in communion with Father Louis Doazan, declined a liturgy at once sober serious and solemn: songs (especially to Mary), table of the Word (Ephesians 4,1-7), profession of faith, reading of the Decree, prayer read by the Assembly.
A short excerpt? "O God, who watch over our community and have chosen our superiors to lead it, we recommend them ..."
As for conviviality ... wines (with or without bubbles), pizzas, pies, cakes and other delicacies ... to forget the time of Advent!
CONGRATULATIONS CHER MICHEL!
A personal note, to finish?
Asked for a report, I wish to share with you all this exhortation (Saint Eugene de Mazenod, convocation to the General Chapter of 1850): "All united by the bonds of the most intimate charity under the direction of the superiors, that they form one heart and one soul. "
